Kim Zolciak surprises NeNe Leakes & her husband Gregg with emotional gift

Nene Leakes responds to Kim Zolciak's thoughtfulness following her husband's cancer diagnosis. The surprise move on Kim's part raises questions on whether the feuding co-stars have finally buried the hatchet.

It’s been a tough time in the Leakes household since Nene Leakes’ husband Gregg was diagnosed with cancer. But with the outpour of love and support from friends, the couple’s journey has been more than bearable.

Following a wave of gifts Nene received in the past week which she posted in thanks on her Instagram, the latest is from Kim Zolciak who seems to have buried the hatched to be around Nene in her time of need.

Nene’s 40-year-old co-star in ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ showered the couple with several gifts including two books, ‘How Not To Die’ and ’50 Days of Hope.’ She also threw in two robes and a box from Kashmere along with a scented diffuser.

To show her appreciation, the 50-year-old actress and fashion designer posted the gifts and thanked Kim for her thoughtfulness. She described opening the box of goodies as “like Christmas.”

Kim's latest act of kindness comes as a surprise to many who've been aware of the ongoing public feud between her and Nene stemming from racist remarks Kim once uttered. The 'Don't Be Tardy' star has apologized in the past and has offered a truce with Nene which now seems to be taking effect. Kudos to the two mature women.

Just a week ago, Nene surprised fans with the announcement that her husband was diagnosed with cancer. The sad news came shortly after Gregg was released from the hospital following a 2-week confinement. Many believed at the time he was on the road to recovery when the couple’s visit to the hospital post-confinement revealed new findings. Nene took to Instagram to post a photo of a grim-faced Gregg seated inside the doctor’s office and revealed to her followers that they were faced with a “New Normal” referring to their fight against cancer.

On Father’s Day, Nene kept the celebration simple and just enjoyed the company of her husband and friends at home. In a series of photos she shared, the couple posed from their kitchen revealing their solidarity despite the trial they’re facing. In one photo, they shared a kiss while Nene assured her husband that he was going to okay in her caption.

What with all the support Gregg is getting from Nene and their friends, his wife may possibly be right.
