Clint Eastwood, 88, returns to acting after a long break

Fans of the veteran actor Clint Eastwood will be pleased to know that he’ll be starring in his first film after 6 years. On Monday he was spotted filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to Daily Mail, he will appear in the movie The Mule. There he will have a starring role as a drug mule for a cartel.

In Atlanta, the director/actor Clint Eastwood, 88, spent time in his trailer before coming out to film his first feature onscreen since the film Trouble With The Curve in 2012. The star was casually dressed in a striped shirt with a collar and a pocket.

He wore his button-up with cargo pants and a pair of sneakers. For his age, Clint seemed nimble as he moved around the set with ease.

In The Mule, Clint will star as Earl Stone, a man in his 80s who is broke, alone, and facing the foreclosure of his business. He is offered a job that simply requires him to drive but is, in reality, a ploy to get him to courier drugs for a Mexican cartel.

Stone is haunted by his past mistakes which he's uncertain if he’ll have time to fix before law enforcement, or the cartel’s enforcers, catch up to him. Clint isn’t the only big name in the movie as it also stars Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, and Dianne Wiest.

American Horror Story: Murder House's Taissa Farmiga, Narcos' Michael Peña and Ignacio Serricchio of Bones also feature. The Mule has not yet scheduled a release date.

Meanwhile, Clint’s daughter Francesca Eastwood, 24, was seen on Sunday leaving the restaurant Craig's with her boyfriend Alexander Wraith. Clint is going to be a grandfather again as she’s expecting.

She was seen showing off her baby bump in a sleeveless little black dress. On her feet, she wore matching black ankle-strap heels.

Francesca is Clint's daughter by actress Frances Fisher, 66, with whom he was in a relationship from 1990 to 1995. He never married Fisher but he has had two marriages.

The actor was married before his romance with Fisher and again very shortly thereafter. He has a number of children by multiple mothers, including the 32-year-old actor Scott Eastwood.

Scott is Clint's son by Jacelyn Reeves, whom he also never married.
