Donald Faison's daughter is all grown-up now & shared heartwarming pic with her brother
The American actor and comedian has a number of children, and the four eldest are already all grown up. Last year, they suffered a devastating loss in their personal lives.
Donald Faison, most known for his role as Zach Braff's bestie on popular medical comedy-drama Scrubs. But in his real life he is known to 6 special people as "dad."
The actor has 3 children with his ex-wife, Lisa Askey: 19-year-old fraternal twins Dade and Kaya, and 17-year-old son Kobe. He also has a son from a previous relationship, Sean Faison-Ince, and two children with his second wife.
Kaya, his only daughter from his first marriage, recently took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and two friends celebrating a graduation.
"conGRADulations," she captioned the sweet shot, with a number of heart and celebration emojis.
In the image, the teenager was grinning away at the camera in a pair of dark aviator glasses and a denim shirt. Her one friend wore a black t-shirt and a pair of black sunglasses.
Her second friend certainly stole the show in a bright red coat, a bright gold bow tie, a purple lei, a long beaded necklace, and a couple of medals.
The three looked happy as they smiled away at the camera.
Faison was married to Askey from 2001 until 2005, when they went their separate ways. In 2012, he remarried, this time to CaCee Cobb, and the couple have since had another two children, a son named Rocco and a daughter named Wilder Frances.
But in 2017, when Askey suddenly passed away from an unpublicized cause, Faison took to Instagram to mourn her death along with his children.
In the image, Dade was holding onto his mother's hand, and the close-up photo shared no more of them. It was originally posted by Dade, but Faison decided to repost it and share his grief over her loss.
"My son Dade is very brave. Today he and his brother Kobe and sister Kaya lost their mother. Lisa Askey Faison. She and I never really saw eye to eye but one thing we did share was our love for our children. RIP Lisa. You raised three beautiful children into fine adults and I am forever grateful for that. May god bless your soul with light and love," he wrote about his son's caption.
Faison made sure to spend plenty of time with his older children following her untimely death, making sure that they were coping with her death.
