Oprah opens up about her perfect date night with longtime partner Stedman Graham
The Oprah Magazine launched a new Q & A section titled Ask A Staffer and a reader wanted to know what Oprah's perfect date night strategy was.
In a short video clip that was shared to Twitter and Instagram, Orpah told Rachel Simmonds that she's a "really good cook" and her partner of 30 years, Stedman Graham, isn't a fussy eater.
She could give him a piece of toast, or an English muffin and Graham would still be impressed with her skills, so she uses that to her advantage when preparing for date nights.
His favorite dish is black-eyed peas and cornbread, and Oprah said that would be their favorite date night routine. Read more on our Twitter, @amomama_usa.
She gave a mischievous wink, looked into the camera and added:
Honey, hush. That's all you need. A little black-eyed peas. Cornbread. That's it. Perfect date night. Me cooking and then... It's on.
Oprah's fans appreciated her advice and Amy Baxindine Hill said she loved the simplicity of it, "especially when you consider Oprah could pretty much do anything in the world."
She added that the duo is adorable, while Neeko said their date night sounds 'sweet and awesomely sincere. She loved the Q&A segments as well and begged Oprah to do more.
Simmonds thanked Oprah for choosing her question, and added that she now needs the recipes too! Her tweet contained two laughing face emojis for good measure.
Oprah and Graham had been dating since the eighties, but the couple values their privacy and prefers to keep their relationship out of the limelight.
She rarely talks about her partner and told Page Six earlier this year that even uploading a new picture "Is an invitation" that she would prefer to not extend to the public.
In other news, Orpah discussed the 2020 election and her chances of running for president.
