LisaRaye McCoy hangs out with her friends after calling off her engagement
LisaRaye McCoy recently announced the end of her one-month engagement, but she doesn’t seem to be gloomy over the development. The actress was spotted in high spirits as she hung out with friends a few days ago.
McCoy took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos from her day out with friends. She wore an off-the-shoulder white blouse and paired it with a straw hat. She also chose a matching white bag and light jewelry for the casual occasion.
In her caption, the “Single Ladies” star confirmed that she was out to support her "folks." Some of those friends were “Down On My Luck” rapper, Vic Mensa and stand-up comedian Sinbad.
McCoy’s outing came less than two weeks after she called off her engagement to Anthony Bryant. McCoy and Bryant met on ABC’s reality dating show, “The Proposal,” where the latter competed for the star's affection alongside other men.
Earlier in July, the 50-year-old informed her fans of her participation on the show. She wrote:
“Dear @Abcnetwork I want to find love, with a side of adventure a dash of laughter and a Tall glass of good god almighty he is fine dont forget to sprinkle on some intelligence and garnish with faith driven powerful success... Matter of Fact I want yall to Tune in to #theProposal on ABC tonight @ 10pm I will be going live & yall can help me finish my ‘Mr. RIGHT’[sic]”
Later that month, she shared the news of her engagement to the 44-year-old Bryant who happened to attend the same university as the actress.
Fans were happy that McCoy had found love again after two failed marriages, but less than two weeks ago, she took to Instagram to share an update on the engagement:
"Hello everyone, yes the relationship with Anthony B is over,"
The mom-of-one continued:
"We have both come to a mutual understanding that we are not compatible enough to continue in pursuing a relationship with each other."
It looks like there will be no third wedding anytime soon as McCoy’s fans had hoped. The former model and video vixen was previously married to Tony Martin from 1992-1994, and to Michael Misick, former Premier of Turks and Caicos, from 2006-2008.
