Nas hugs his beautiful son and daughter in heart-melting picture

Rapper Nas is showing off his softer side in a recent pic from his birthday, as he showers his children with affection. Meanwhile, the iconic rapper’s ex-wife, Kelis Rogers, recently accused him of being physically and verbally abused through their marriage.

Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones, better known as Nas or Nasty Nas, has been in the hip-hop industry for 27 years and is considered one of the most influential artists of the scene with eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums in his record.

He recently celebrated his 45th birthday, and his children, Destiny, 24 and Knight, 9, were there to share the special occasion with the rapper. In pics shared to his Instagram from the birthday bash, Nas looks classy wearing a white turtleneck t-shirt, matching blazer, black dress pants, and sporty shoes.

Nas accessorized his outfit with some necklaces, vintage glasses, and a lapel pin. The proud dad melted hearts sharing a photo that depicts him hugging his son with one arm while kissing his daughter’s forehead as she sits on a booth.

“you both keep me grounded,” he captioned the pic.

Fans immediately took to his comment section to share their thoughts on the photo. “No money in the whole world can replace this,” wrote one fan, and another added, “Aww that's great you had both your kids there.”

Some fans were surprised to see young Knight spending time with his dad, considering that Kelis Rogers, the boy’s mother, and Nas ex-wife, has made it her mission to slam the rapper on the media accusing him of domestic violence in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked and called him a deadbeat dad.

Five months after his ex’s interview, Nas finally exploded on an Instagram rant a few days ago, denying the accusations of abuse and calling out Kelis for spreading false stories about him to damage his reputation, not only with the public but also with their son.

“I’m tired of you painting a bad picture of me. I’ve been tired of it, but you never seem to get tired. I even had to be in a relationship with you AGAIN after we separated just so I could see my son & I AM JUST TIRED,” he wrote.

And continued on another post:

“You have a son! Why are you still competing with me by telling him bad things about me. Guess what sis, he has eyes and ears and smart as ever. I don’t have to say anything. I think he knows what’s really good. You will NOT stop me from fighting for my son.”

Rogers, famous for her hit song “Milkshake,” is also currently asking for an increase in the child support checks she gets from Nas, alleging that her kid has different needs now that he’s 9, and that the amount established back when he was a toddler needs to be changed.

Nas is currently paying monthly child support of $8,000.
