Woman earns a standing ovation from the judges for her angelic voice
Georgia Burgess sent judges to their feet after her performance on "The X Factor UK."
A video shared by the show on YouTube shows the 20-year-old aspiring singer belting out The Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You.”
Simon Cowell’s jaw dropped just a few seconds after Burgess started singing. Her angelic voice captivated the dreaded judge, who is known for his occasional harsh criticisms. Follow us on our Twitter account, @amomama_usa, to learn more and scroll down to watch Burgess' performance below.
When she finished singing, the judges gave her a standing ovation and told her about how she deeply moved them.
“Effortless. How comfortable you are in your skin makes us feel really comfortable,” said Robbie Williams, one of the judges.
A CHILDHOOD DREAM
It meant so much for the young wannabe singer. She had always wanted to join "The X Factor" ever since she attended it at just eight years old with her family.
She was inspired to join the talent competition after seeing many of her fellow countrymen enjoying global success after joining the show.
Because of her stunning performance, Burgess has caught the eye of record labels from the United States.
A video of her performance has been viewed more than 600,000 times since it was posted to YouTube on September 15, 2018.
ANOTHER STUNNING PERFORMANCE
Another much talked about performance on the X Factor UK was that of Jacqueline Faye, an elderly lady from Wales.
The 53-year-old impressed the judges and earned a standing ovation from the entire studio audience after singing one of Cilla Black’s 1960’s hit “You're My World.”
Faye, who resides on a farm in Oxfordshire, was herself surprised when she received four ‘Yeses’ from the judges.
One of the judges, Robbie Williams, was so delighted with the performance that he admitted Faye’s voice reminded him of his home. “You transport me to safety and kindness,” he told the singer. “There’s something really special about you.”
