Couple earns a standing ovation from the crowd for their incredible swing dancing
Two swing dancers wowed the crowd as they moved to the beat of a Wild Cherry song at the USA Grand National Dance Championship.
Not a lot of people take swing dancing seriously, but this dancing couple begs to differ. Bryn Anderson and Ken Rutland brought their all during the competition held in 2017.
With their exceptional routine, it was no surprise that other competitors felt left behind by the pair.
Joining the West Coast swing category in the Rising Star division, Anderson and Rutland showed off their competitive sides.

At the time, the dancing had only been partners for about a year. For the competition, they chose to bust the move with “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry.
Because of their performance, not only did they win first place, they also became a huge hit online and became viral sensations.

Anderson is no stranger to dancing. She has been into it and took West Coast swing lessons when she was only five years old.
She has a unique style when it comes to West Coast swinging. She likes to incorporate other forms of dancing like ballet, jazz, contemporary, and even Latin.

As for Rutland, he was a hip-hop dancer his entire life before he decided to focus on partner dancing in 2011. For his routines, Rutland is also a fan of mixing swing with salsa, zydeco, swingout, and other kinds of dances.
Since 1995, the USA Grand National Dance Championship has been awaited by avid fans every Memorial Day weekend.

Dancers all over the country come together to vie for the title of being the best dancers in more than a dozen divisions. With the number of categories, more than $40,000 in cash and trophies is given to the winners each year.
Meanwhile, another couple gave a stunning performance with their exemplary acrobatic routine.
Acrobatic duo Valeriy and Yulia proved that anything was possible with their dance routine known as “Hand to Hand.”
