Mary J. Blige flaunts blonde curls & slim legs in ripped denim shorts & pink boots in new pic
Mary J. Blige is aging backward in this new pic she shared on Instagram, and it’s about time we revisit that fitness advice she dished out three years ago.
Blige, 47, put her toned legs and tattoo on display in a pair of ripped denim shorts worn with a matching shirt. She contrasted the blue with rose pink, the color of her bag, belt, and pointy-toed boots. The “Real Love” singer also switched things up with her blonde curls, oversized sunglasses, and large hoop earrings.
Despite the controversy that plagued her personal life not too long ago, Blige has stayed committed to healthy living and does not hesitate to flaunt the results.
STEPPING OUT IN STYLE
Earlier this year, she stepped out for Tiffany & Co.’s “Tiffany Blue Book Collection” event in New York City and stunned in an elegant emerald dress that would make anyone green with envy.
Blige was also spotted last month at the New York Fashion Week where she donned a sleeveless white dress that put her enviable curves on display.
The nine-time Grammy winner has shared the secrets to her trim body on various occasions, and apart from working out and eating the right foods, Blige says it’s all about the “inside out.”
In an interview with Healthy Living three years ago, the “No More Drama” hitmaker observed:
“Getting older is inevitable, but aging is optional. So however you take care of yourself is what you’re going to look like. So what you eat, what you think and how you think is going to be a reflection of how you feel. If you think that you’re just a broke down, horrible looking person that’s what you’re going to look like, but if you think that you are the best you that you can be and that’s all you can be, it’s going to shine through your eyes. Take care of yourself. It’s going to come from the inside out.”
Probably, this “Inside Out” approach also worked for Blige as she battled her ex-husband in a messy divorce case. In July 2016, she filed for divorce from Kendu Isaacs, her husband of 12 years who also happened to be her manager.
“You start to realize that this man doesn’t want you and he’s just gone all the time and you’re by yourself in the relationship.”
After a highly publicized back-and-forth mostly stemming from Isaacs’ insistence on getting spousal support, the estranged couple finally settled out of court this year.
Meanwhile, last month, Blige was forced to break her silence on rumors claiming she was involved in a fight with singer Faith Evans.
“Of course that was made up,” the “Mudbound” actress said. “I was shooting a movie in Louisiana. …I just got here today."
