Potentially explosive device sent to Hillary Clinton
Late on Tuesday, an apparent explosive device was found on the way to former President Bill and First Lady Hillary Clinton’s New York City home. Reports state that neither one of them were harmed.
The Secret Service managed to intercept the package during routine mail screening procedures. The former president wasn’t the only one targeted.
Former President Bill and his wife Hillary Clinton was left unharmed when a technician discovered the explosive device in the early morning. The tech person is responsible for screening the mail for Hillary’s office.
This is the third possible bomb mailed to Democratic figures this week. Reports said the package was addressed to the former first lady.

In a statement they said:
“The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such. The protectees did not receive the packages, nor were they at risk of receiving them.”
Officials revealed that the device sent to the Clintons Chappaqua home in northern Westchester County was similar to the one sent to Obama on Wednesday and liberal philanthropist George Soros, 88. The Holocaust survivor has channeled a substantial amount of his fortune into liberal projects around the world which has made him a target of rhetoric on the right.
On Monday, an explosive device was discovered at around 3 p.m. outside Soros' suburban New York home. The device was said to resemble a pipe bomb and was inside a package in the mailbox.
An employee who worked for the philanthropist opened the package and discovered the device. They placed the package in a wooded area and alerted officials.
It’s believed that all three incidences are linked. The Secret Service said it had "initiated a full scope criminal investigation that will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible."
New Castle Police Department Lieutenant James Carroll revealed that his department had assisted the FBI and the Secret Service in investigating the package sent to the Clintons. President Donald Trump was briefed on the packages and was said to be taking the situation "extremely seriously," according to a senior White House official.
On Wednesday morning, Sarah Sanders, the White House Press Secretary, had this to say in a statement:
“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures. These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.”
The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted in response:
“As someone whose family has directly been the victim of these mail threats I condemn whoever did this regardless of party or ideology. This crap has to stop and I hope they end up in jail for a long time.”
