Debbie Allen's son DeVaughn looks like his dad in recent photo with both parents and siblings

DeVaughn Nixon recently shared a family photo on Instagram to celebrate his father’s birthday, and fans could not help noticing the resemblance between him and his dad, Norm Nixon.

Retired basketball player, Norm Nixon turned 63 on October 11, and his first son took to Instagram with a simple message, but it was the photo that got people talking.

DeVaughn, his dad Norm, stepmom, Debbie Allen, and siblings Norm Jr and Vivian, were all pictured in what looked like a restaurant, and from their smiles, the brood is one happy family.

The legendary Debbie Allen stood behind her family as she stretched her arms out. “Happy Birthday Dad!” DeVaughn wrote.

Comments that followed the post wished Norm a happy birthday and pointed out how strong his genes are.

DeVaughn, who was born to Norm before the latter married Allen in 1984, is following in his stepmother’s footsteps. Debbie is a choreographer and dancer who has won numerous awards for her work in various productions, including the 1980 movie, “Fame.”

After graduating in television production and business finance from Loyola Marymount University, DeVaughn made his acting debut in 1990 when he played Sunny in “To Sleep with Anger.” His most prominent roles, however, have been in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and “The Bodyguard.”

So far, he has appeared in many TV series including “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” "JAG," "The Unit," and "The Game."

It also helps that DeVaughn has a mom who knows the ropes. Apart from her critically acclaimed performance in a Broadway revival of West Side Story, Debbie, 68, was also the director of “The Cosby Show” spin-off, “A Different World.”

Meanwhile, Norm and Debbie are one of the longest surviving couples in Hollywood. They have been married for 34 years and are still going strong.

In 2016, they celebrated their 32nd anniversary with a Yacht party, and Norm and Debbie proved they’re still very much in love by lighting up the dance floor with a sexy routine.

The couple’s other children are also following in their footsteps. Norm Jr is a basketball player while Vivian is a dancer.

Debbie’s sister is the famous “Cosby” star, Phylicia Rashad.
