NBA professional player Russell Westbrook and his wife, Nina, took to Instagram to announce the birth of their twin daughters, Skye and Jordyn.

The proud parents uploaded the same black and white image showing the arms of the babies, who were wearing little bracelets with their names on it. In the caption, Nina wrote, “Mommies girls are here and healthy [sic],” followed by the date when they were born: November 17.

As soon as they uploaded that picture, their followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them congratulated them, while others sent their best wishes in the new task they have ahead.

TAKING PARENTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

For Russell and Nina, being parents is nothing new as they are already taking care of their one-and-a-half-year-old son Noah. However, things might get a little harder as they are outnumbered now.

SHARING BIG NEWS

The couple announced that they were expecting twin girls in September this year when they released a YouTube video titled “The Westbrook Family,” posted in the Oklahoma City Thunder account.

“Having two girls is exciting in itself, but just having been able to be blessed and have more children I think is a complete honor and it’s a blessing to start there and after that as parents, I think we can take the rest so we’ll be fine,” revealed Russell.

RUSSELL’S LIFE OUT OF THE COURT

Nina even talked about her husband’s parenting skills saying that he is a very hands-on father who helps a lot in the house. “He wakes up early, stays up late, puts Noah to bed, goes to work out late at night.” Nina finally said that Russell makes sure to emphasize spending time with Noah when he is home.

A BALLER FAMILY

As Bustle reported, the couple attended UCLA together, which is where they met. Just like Russell, Nina played basketball for the university team.

The college’s official website set clear that she could play all the positions, and was considered one of the fastest players on her team, so Noah, Skye, and Jordyn have the basketball gene running through their veins.

“Mommies girls are here and healthy.”

GETTING MARRIED

In 2014, after dating for a long time, Russell proposed to Nina. On August 29, 2015, the couple tied the knot, and they have been living their lives as good as possible with their son.

Now that they welcomed two more girls to the world, everything is expected to be even better.
