DailyMail: George Clooney may become Meghan and Harry’s future baby’s godfather
It’s common knowledge that Prince Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan are expecting their first child together in the springtime. Now there’s the discussion about who will get the title of godparent.
George Clooney’s family, who still live in George's hometown of Augusta, Kentucky, is convinced that he and his wife will become the child’s godparents.
George Clooney's cousin Ben Breslin told Daily Mail that the actor would make a “wonderful” godfather to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s baby. He said:
“I'm all for it. He'd make a wonderful godfather, he'd make a wonderful just about anything - he's a good guy.”

The actor, 57, and his wife Amal, a British human-rights lawyer who shares a long-standing friendship with Meghan, are said to socialize regularly with the Royal couple. The Hollywood couple was responsible for flying Harry and Meghan via private jet to the Clooney's luxury residence on Lake Como.
The visit happened after the Royal couple got married in May. They got to meet the Clooney's 1-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander and practiced their parenting skills.
A source that’s close to both couples said:
“Amal and Meghan have been close for years, and Harry and George have become buddies because of that. They're much closer than the headlines let on.”
The insider added that George had “told a couple of people he has a strong hunch” that they'll be among the couples asked to be godparents. To show how close they are, Harry and Meghan are expected to attend a dinner party next month at the Clooney’s London home.
Also included at the exclusive event is with Barack and Michelle Obama. The Clooney’s are also spending more time in his hometown; where his parents Nick and Nina reside and the family hopes they'll bring along their Royal friends and the newborn for their next visit.
Someone who also stands a chance at being named a godparent to the Royal baby is Meghan’s friend Priyanka Chopra. The actress is set to get married to musician Nick Jonas in India.
However, Harry and Meghan might not make it to their wedding.
