Kimora Lee Simmons honors late 'sister' Kim Porter with heartwarming birthday message in new post

Kimora Lee Simmons, the fashion model and designer, took to Instagram to share a tribute to her late friend Kim Porter in what would have been her 48th birthday.

On December 16, one day after Kim’s birthday, Kimora uploaded a photo of her friend posing in a beautiful golden dress that made her look astonishing. Apart from the gown, the aspect that attracted more attention was her beautiful face as her makeup was on point.

In the caption, Kimora wrote, “Happy g-day sister. We love you always and forever. Words cannot explain how we will go on. But for you we will. We miss you so much! And we celebrate you everyday [sic].”

PEOPLE’S REACTION

As soon as Kimora uploaded that post, her followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them wished that Kim was resting in peace, while others thanked Kimora for being such a good friend.

“She is watching you guys move forward and sees how much she is loved along with her children. Believe she is in her glory. Angels always are,” wrote one user.

“This lady was extremely lucky to have u as a dear friend, I have a lot of respect for your kindness,” admitted a second follower.

“May she rest in peace. And sending love, light and strength to you and the family,” added another one.

Sadly, Kim was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California home on November 15. The cause of death remains unknown as it “was deferred pending additional tests.” She passed at the age of 47.

AL B. SURE’S TRIBUTE

Kimora was not the only person who took her time to honor Kim. Al B. Sure, one of her former boyfriends and the father of one of her sons, Quincy, also uploaded a post on Instagram to honor Kim. The tribute was a video taken many years ago showing Kim talking about how powerful the effect that Al B. Sure had on women.

She compared it to what Justin Bieber caused when his career was on the rise. In the caption, the record producer and singer thanked BET for sharing the clip and added that hashtags “Happy Birthday” “I [Miss You]” and “Forever My Lady.”

DIDDY’S TRIBUTE

Apart from Al B. Sure, Sean Combs – also known as Diddy – shared some posts wishing the mother of his children a heavenly happy birthday. One of them was the photo of a colorful drawing that showed Kim in what the artist considered was Heaven. She had wings and a halo while a couple of angels were around her.

After that, he uploaded a video recorded about 11 years ago when the couple was still together and expecting twins D’Lila and Jesse. Diddy posted another image showing Kim with Quincy, and a fourth one portraying the “love of his life” posing with the twins in her arms. Diddy captioned all photos with “happy birthday” followed by a beautiful, touching message.
