Tika Sumpter shares photo of daughter in curly updo, chilling with 'bestie' by Christmas tree

The 38-year-old mother-of-one showed off with her adorable tot on social media.

She shared a photo daughter and a friend on Instagram and wrote in the caption: "When you're chillin' [with] ya bestie. Ella + Ev = [heart emoji.]

The photo was shared on 28 December and received nearly 40,000 likes in the few days it's been online.

Sumpter welcomed Ella-Loren in October 2018 but only revealed the identity of the father later, on a social media post.

A year after welcoming Ella-Loren, Sumpter revealed on Instagram that Nick James was the father of her little bundle of joy.

At the time, she wrote in the caption: "Ella's such a lucky girl. [Nick,] you're an amazing father. I could not have asked for a funnier, more present and loving partner."

She was also engaged to Nick in secret, and even though she talked about her "fiance," she didn't reveal his name at first.

She simply said that they worked together, that she met him on set and that he was "so funny" and made her laugh.

The couple met on the set of "Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots. They have not yet confirmed a wedding date.

Nick proposed on Christmas day back in 2017 by arranging a "little hunt" around the house with their daughter.

At the end of the hunt, she found a letter from Nick in which he proposed. However, the pair is no mood to rush their love story.

Earlier this year, Sumpter received criticism for being in an interracial relationship, but she wasn't about to allow critics to get her down.

When fans felt that she "betrayed" them, Sumpter said she didn't, and added that she's "just a girl who met a boy and fell in love."

She made it clear that who she chooses to date is no one's business and said on Madame Noire that critics shouldn't "come after my dude like that."
