The Sun: Here’s the first photo of Meghan and Harry’s new love nest that costs more than $3 million
New photos of Prince Harry and Meghan’s farmhouse in Cotswold had just got released, and it is beautiful.
Currently living at Kensington Palace the royal couple awaits the completion of renovations to their new home at Frogmore Cottage before they can move in, but as it turns out, they also have a house in Cotswold.
Royal reporter, Emily Andrews captured images of the estate where the Royals have hosted some celebrities including Amal and George Clooney, Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas, and Alexis Ohanian with wife Serena Williams.
Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland had also been to the gorgeous country retreat, set in four acres of Oxfordshire countryside. Privately set it grants stunning views of the rolling hills, which leaves no surprise as to why Meghan and Prince Harry enjoy walking out with the dogs so much.
The farmhouse dates back to the 18th century and features four bedrooms, with one converted into a dressing room. Attached to the farmhouse is a converted barn that includes an upper and lower kitchen with a sitting area by floor to ceiling windows, where one can comfortably watch the stunning view.
It also boasts a large dining room with an outside seating area with heaters for the chilly days. Also on the property is a two bedroom cottage for guests or staff.
The couple took a two-year lease out on the property when they started renting it last year and moved in before their wedding in May. They plan to keep the $3.1 million property for the time being even after they are set to move to Frogmore Cottage.
The Duchess is currently overseeing renovations on their future Windsor home and hopes to be able to move in before the birth of their firstborn due in Spring.
Some might say that the couple had a whirlwind romance by royal standards since they met in July 2016 in London through mutual friends. Only a few months later in October Prince Harry announced that he and Meghan are dating.
The couple looks as in love now as they did when spotted buying their first Christmas tree in Battersea Park in December that year.
Their public display of affection that gets the pair in trouble so often first appeared on May 7, 2017, when they were pictured kissing in public for the first time at the Coworth Park polo club in Ascot.
Clarence House announced their engagement on November 27, 2017, and came as no surprise as fans knew it was only a matter of time.
Later the lovebirds posed for official pictures, and to record a television interview during which Meghan spilled the beans about how Harry proposed to her over a roast chicken during a night in.
Just before the end of the year, Meghan attended her first joint engagement with Prince Harry in Nottingham, before joining the royal family on December 25 at the church in Sandringham, a first for any royal fiance.
Meghan and Prince Harry’s fairytale wedding happened a few short months after on May 19 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
On October 15 the couple jetted off for their first royal tour but is also the day they announced that Meghan is expecting the couple’s first baby due in Spring.
Another busy year awaits the happy royal couple. One has to wonder though whether Meghan thinks back to her New Year’s resolution in 2016, shortly before Meghan met Prince Harry.
Early in January 2016, she posted her personal goals for the year ahead on her former lifestyle blog, The Tig. Almost like a premonition, she stated that she wanted to “make room for magic,” which certainly happened a few months later when she met Prince Harry.
May the year ahead be a magical one for everyone!
