South Philadelphia police are appealing to the public in their search for 20-year-old Dejuan Robinson. He escaped authorities when he fled on foot from police.

Robinson was initially believed to have several homicides on his record. However, police have clarified that he is wanted for "parole and probation violations in Delaware."

A tweet from Philadelphia Police says Robinson stands at five feet, six inches and weighs 160 pounds. Wilmington police sent out a tweet describing him as "armed [and] dangerous."

The 20-year-old was asked to pull over near E. 12th Street and Rosemont Avenue in the morning. He later caused two crashes in the city of Delaware.

One crash occurred on Interstate 95's northbound lanes between Broad Street and the Philadelphia International Airport. Police state that Robinson intentionally hit another vehicle on the I-95.

The crash led to a police car overturning. In total, five Wilmington officers were harmed. Robinson also crashed into a white SUV and a SEPTA bus on Broad Street and Oregon Avenue.

He got out of the vehicle and eluded officers. A lady living on the 2900 block of Smedley Street believed he was nearby when she heard glass break outside her house.

Unfortunately, the runaway was not around. She said:

"I'm glad it wasn't him, but I'm kind of upset it wasn't him because I want him to be caught."

This is the second time Robinson has eluded police. Back in 2015 at 17 years of age, he escaped the law while transferring between juvenile facilities.

He broke out through a correctional van by jumping out while it was still moving. Robinson made headlines for the act at the time.

Back in October 2018, another manhunt was underway for three men who killed a police officer in Georgia.

Antwan Toney, 30, fell victim to a slew of gunshots when he responded to a 911 call.

Isaiah Pretlow was later captured. Police identified Tafahree Maynard as another suspect.

Two other men remained on the loose. Maynard was charged with aggravated assault and felony murder at the time.
