‘Criminal Minds’ is coming to an end with Season 15, and fans’ hearts are sort of broken now
This week, the official “Criminal Minds” Twitter page announced when Season 14 would be ending. They also shared the sad news that Season 15 would be the last one for the series.
Fans’ hearts were broken by the news but many were happy that they still had one more season to go through. The last season of the show will end next year.
“Criminal Minds” is currently working on episode 15 of its 14th season. Last year, the series celebrated its 300th episode in the fall.

However, on Thursday, it was announced that the show would only have one more season before it ends. The tweet read:
“Hey, #CriminalMinds fans—we've got big news. First, mark your calendar for the Season 14 finale, Feb 6 at 10/9c. Next, get ready for a momentous ride: Season 15 will be our epic final season.”
Fans found the announcement bittersweet. Some were sad to see their favorite show end, but in the same breath, they were pleased that they still had one more season to hold on to.
Deadline reported that the series would finish with 325 episodes. It will be among the Top 20 shows of all time according to the number of episodes it has had.

“It is the quintessential CBS hit. We are so proud to have aired it. It speaks to everything we do best, which is air quality television. It’s been successful not only on air but online, in syndication, internationally for ABC (Studios).”

The cancelation of the show occurred due to series' ratings which have been on a downward slope. Season 15 will only feature 10 episodes.
Some fans hope that some old characters will be brought back for the last season.
