Milestone party: Hot details of John Legend’s star-studded birthday celebration

John Legend celebrated his 40th birthday with a star-studded James Bond-themed party, organized by his wife, Chrissy Teigen. The couple welcomed close family and famous friends into their Los Angeles home for an epic night, Casino Royale style.

Chrissy Teigen knows how to throw a party, and she made sure to plan a fantastic birthday bash to celebrate her husband’s 40th milestone as he deserves. Even though Legend’s actual birthday was on December 28, the celebration took place last weekend, and the power couple made sure it was unforgettable for everyone involved.

Following the James Bond 007 theme, the Teigen-Legend household was turned into a casino, with red velvet curtains all around, neon figures of showgirls dancers, and a huge golden “040” sign decorated with roses to welcome the guests at the entrance.

There was also a photo booth set up with a casino table, featuring a Russian roulette, cash, poker chips, and chandeliers surrounding the place, where all of the guests made their best poses for epic photos later posted on social media.

THE LOOKS AND THE GUESTS

Teigen rocked a strapless sequined golden dress and completed her Bond girl look with a snake diamond choker. Legend, on the other hand, looked dapper in a white tuxedo with a black bowtie, which made him stand out from the rest of the guests.

Longtime family friends, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West were also present at the party. The reality star and makeup mogul stole the spotlight with a see-through lace bodysuit, while her husband kept it casual with a short-sleeved black shirt and grey slacks.

Kourtney Kardashian, Kriss Jenner, and Corey Gamble were also up to the party, and both women chose black for their elegant outfits.

Some of the other guests include Angela Basset, Courtney Vance, Aisha Hinds, Amirah Vann, Brandon Victor Dixon, Yvonne Orji, Miguel, and Nazanin Mandi.

DAPPER CHILDREN

John and Chrissy’s children were also present. Hours before the party began, Teigen took to her Twitter to make a poll among her followers and decide which look should her 7-months-old son Miles wear.

The little boy looked adorable in the two outfits: the first, a classic black tuxedo, and the other, a white suit to match with his father.

Little Luna, 2, rocked a shimmering golden dress with a tutu, and later on, took the dance floor alongside her parents to show off her best moves.

Legend later took to Instagram to share some of the pics from the party, and captioned the post:

“Saturday night, my amazing wife threw me the most incredible 40th birthday party I could imagine! So good to be surrounded by family and loved ones. I had the time of my life. I'm so grateful. And the photo booth? The greatest of all time (in the Instagram era, that's like 90% of party planning, right?)”

And even though Chrissy has yet to share pics from the night on social media, she made sure to leave a heartfelt message for her husband on his actual birthday, melting hearts with her kind words for the singer:

“Happy 40th birthday to the most incredible man. The best father, hardest worker, best lover, best friend I could ever imagine. Every day I am grateful for how much you love us and how much you both say it and show it. You are one of a kind. I am grateful to your family for creating and raising such a pure, sweet, brilliant man. The world has been blessed by your 40 years on this planet. I love you. I showed you that this morning BOOYAHHHH.”

Continuing with the birthday celebrations, Legend recently shared a pic with a birthday cake, courtesy of the Recording Academy, at the rehearsals for the upcoming Aretha Franklin tribute, where he’ll share the stage with some of the most prominent names in the industry, like Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Patti Labelle, Kelly Clarkson and more.
