Kim Kardashian officially confirms she and Kanye West are having 4th baby and reveals baby’s gender

Kim Kardashian fans can finally confirm that the reality star is expecting another baby via surrogacy. Speculations have been flying around, but Kim just explained how the secret got out.

Kim and her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian were guests on Monday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” when the host asked Kim if she and her husband, rapper Kanye West were expecting another child.

"I enjoyed the surrogacy process. When it came time to breastfeed, I realized it was the best decision I have made."

“We are,” replied Kim, also answering Andy’s question about the child’s gender. “It's a boy."

The 38-year-old beauty mogul, who had so far been tight-lipped about her plans for a fourth child, then recalled how she let the cat out of the bag thanks to alcohol:

"It's out there. I got drunk at our Christmas Eve party, and I told some people, but I can't remember who I told."

The new boy will join his siblings, five-year-old daughter North, three-year-old-son Saint, and another daughter, one-year-old Chicago.

Kim and Kanye welcomed Chicago in January 2018, also via surrogacy. Kim suffered life-threatening complications with her two pregnancies, but because she wanted to expand her family, turned to use a gestational carrier.

The “KKW Beauty” founder told "Live with Kelly and Ryan" last May that she would love to try for another baby, especially since she enjoyed the surrogacy process:

"I would maybe try for one more. I enjoyed the surrogacy process. When it came time to breastfeed, I realized it was the best decision I have made -- it's a game changer. I can spend so much more time with the older kids, getting them used to the new baby."

A source, however, told PEOPLE that Kim and Kanye could not use the same gestational carrier who carried Chicago.

“Since they had another embryo, Kim and Kanye always knew they wanted to try and implant that embryo too,” the insider revealed. “They hoped to work with the same gestational carrier, but it didn’t work out this time. They are working with a second carrier now that is pregnant and will give birth in the spring.”
