Drew Scott reveals he’ll be having kids soon, asks Joanna Gaines for ‘hand me downs’

The “Property Brothers” star gave his fans a pleasant surprise by breaking the news about expecting children with wife Linda Phan.

Drew Scott delighted his fans by dropping a comment on an Instagram post from his fellow HGTV star, Joanna Gaines, where he opened up about “having kids soon.”

The snapshot from Gaines featured herself talking on the phone, while she has her son, Crew, sitting on her lap.

Crew, who was born in June last year, seems to be growing out of the onesie that he is wearing in the photograph.

Gaines lovingly addressed this issue by captioning the post, “I think it’s time for the next size up.” She then added a hashtag, ‘#sixmonthsup.’

40-year-old Scott decided to tease his fans by sharing an honest comment on the post. He wrote, “We’ll be having kids soon so I’ll hit you up for hand me downs.”

“I’m most looking forward to spending more time together.”

The fans of the star could not help but gush over the revelation. They quickly flooded Gaines’ post with comments of adoration for Scott.

One Instagram user commented, “Woohoo! Those will be some beautiful hand me downs. Looking forward to seeing beautiful Linda with a little baby bump!”

Another user lent his vote of confidence by writing how amazing of a parent Scott would prove to be.

Scott and his 33-year-old wife, Phan, got married in Italy in May last year. They dated for several years prior to their wedding.

The reality star was quite vocal about his love for his wife at that time. “I’m most looking forward to spending more time together,” he told People in an exclusive interview.

He further stated that he was also hoping to get a much-deserved break and “enjoy doing nothing” as both of them had been working hard for so long.

In August, Scott expressed his excitement about having children during another interview, where he joked about having “octuplets and just get it over with.”
