John Legend melts hearts in sweet pic with his sister, brother, and rarely-seen mom Phyllis

John Legend celebrated his 40th birthday in a star-studded party organized by his wife, Chrissy Teigen. He recently took to Instagram to share some pics from the James Bond-themed bash, and his family was front and center.

The crooner is known to be a man devoted to his family, so it was not surprising that the main guests to his belated birthday party were his mother, Phyllis Stephens, his older brother Ronald Stephens II and his sister Phyllis “Missy” Stephens.

Among the pics John shared from the Casino Royale-themed photo booth at the party, there was one with the three Stephens, and Mrs. Phyllis easily stole the spotlight from her kids donning a black and white flowery jacket and a white ruffled headpiece.

In a separate post, Legend also posed with his father, Ronald Stephens Sr., and his new wife Deidre Hamlar, proving that the entire family reunited to have a good time in John’s name.

The EGOT awarded entertainer made sure to make a special mention to his wife for organizing such an incredible and unforgettable celebration:

“Saturday night, my amazing wife threw me the most incredible 40th birthday party I could imagine,” John wrote on Instagram. “So good to be surrounded by family and loved ones. I had the time of my life. I’m so grateful. And the photo booth? The greatest of all time (in the Instagram era, that's like 90% of party planning, right?)” he added.

Legend and his guests made their best Bond poses in a casino table decorated with cash, poker chips, and Russian roulette. Chandeliers and red velvet curtains completed the frame, making the pictures of the evening memorable for all of those who attended.

John and Chrissy’s kids didn’t miss the fun. Little Luna looked gorgeous in a sparkling golden dress with a tutu, while his little brother, Miles, was his father’s twin wearing a white tuxedo just like John.

Teigen, on the other hand, went for a strapless sequined golden dress with a thigh high slit and a diamond choker in the shape of a snake to complete the Bond girl look.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kriss Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Angela Basset, Amirah Vann, Courtney B. Vance, Common, Nazanin Mandi, and Miguel were also in attendance.
