La La Anthony melts hearts with photo of Carmelo & their growing son Kiyan amid pregnancy rumors
"La La Anthony took to Instagram to share an adorable pic of her husband, Carmelo Anthony, and their son Kiyan, proving that she remains unbothered amid pregnancy rumors surrounding her.
The former MTV VJ turned actress delighted her fans with a photo of Carmelo and Kiyan sharing some precious time waiting for a meal. The father-son duo matched in black, with Kiyan rocking a hoodie while his father went for a sweatshirt and a cap.
It seems like the dup enjoying their time together, as Kiyan grinned happily at the camera while throwing up a hand sign, as his father replicated the happy smile. La La was clearly captivated by her son’s happiness, as she captioned the post “This Smile,” adding a red heart emoji to drive the point home.
PREGNANCY RUMORS
The photo was posted just a few days after La La became the center of speculation on social media after making an innocent comment on the video posted by comedian Amy Schumer. In the clip, the pregnant star was throwing up on the side of the road on Christmas day, and Anthony showed her support in the comments, saying:
“I’m with u!! Merry Christmas babe.”
For some reason, fans took La La’s comment out of context and started wondering if the “Stars” actress was pregnant, filling her comment section with the rumors.
La La eventually shut down the rumors, telling Life And Style Mag she could only relate to Amy’s post because she also “suffered from severe hyperemesis” when she was pregnant with Kiyan.
NOT COMMENTS ON HER RELATIONSHIP WITH CARMELO
While the former 39-year-old has denied the pregnancy claims, it’s a different story when it comes to the reconciliation rumors that have trailed her and Carmelo for a long time.
The power couple first split in April 2017, after seven years of marriage, when the NBA’s player cheating was exposed. TMZ reported at the time that they were living separately, but neither filed divorce papers.
While La La made clear for quite some time that she was theoretically single and only kept a friendly relationship with Carmelo for the sake of their son, the couple has been seen together and packing on PDA in several occasions in the last few months.
CRUMBS FROM LA LA
Several sources close to the couple have tipped publications like People and US Weekly about them being officially back together, but neither La La nor Carmelo have confirmed or denied the rumors.
When asked by US Weekly about the hardships she faced in the past year after her split from Carmelo, she said:
“I learned that life is filled with ups and downs and it’s just about how you react to them. You can get down on yourself and just be like, ‘Oh, the world’s ending,’ and just, you know, really be hard on yourself, or you can say, ‘I’m not the first, and I won’t be the last, this happens to people.'
"You know, ups and downs, and you just gotta keep pushing forward. I proved to myself that I can overcome a lot of things that probably would have broken some people.”
She also told People back in October that she and Carmelo were “figuring out” their relationship. “We’re good. I mean, we’ve been together for a really long time, so we’re figuring out how to make it work for what is best for [our 11-year-old son] Kiyan and what is best for us,” the actress explained.
Fans keep rooting for the couple, and by the looks of it, it seems like they’re back in a good place. La La took to Instagram on Thursday to share a throwback picture with Carmelo and her caption certainly implies good news for the couple:
"Best friends who were trying to figure this thing called love out..."
