Busta Rhymes had rocky relationships with his baby mamas but he's managed to raise 5 kids

Busta Rhymes, the rapper whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr., has five grown-up children with three different women.

Even though the artist’s current relationship with some of his exes is good, things were not always like that with some of them in the past.

Back in 1999, Jill Miskelly took the rapper to court and made him take a paternity test that confirmed he was the father of Mariah, born in 1998. Even before the test came out positive, Busta had been voluntarily paying $1,200 a month in child support.

MARIAH ELIZABETH MISKELLY

At the moment, the rapper feels blessed for having Mariah in his life. Unfortunately, the lady prefers going by the name of Mariah Elizabeth Miskelly, so she apparently opted out of Busta’s last name Smith (at least on social media).

T’ZIAH WOOD-SMITH

The rapper’s eldest son is T’Ziah Wood-Smith, born in 1993. His mother is Joanne Wood, who is also the mother of two other Busta’s children. Due to his height, T’Ziah spent most of his childhood playing basketball. At the moment, he has a strong online presence with over 3,000 followers.

T’KHI WOOD-SMITH

Busta’s second son is T’Khi Wood-Smith, whose mother is also Joanne. Born in 1999, the young man has been focusing his time on playing football. At the moment, he is a defensive back at Pace University and is working hard to become an NFL player.

TRILLIAN WOOD-SMITH

The rapper’s third son is Trillian Wood-Smith, the third and final son Busta had with Joanne. Unlike his older brothers, Trillian followed in his father’s footsteps and has been trying to start a career as a rapper. He has also modeled in some fashion events, which might suggest that he is ready for the spotlight.

CACIE SMITH

Cacie Smith is the “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” singer’s second daughter. The girl’s mother is Rhonda Randall. Born in 1998, the girl is a high-school graduated and an Instagram model with more than 5,000 followers.

Even though little has been said about the topic, Busta had a son in 1992. Unfortunately, the boy was born prematurely and died soon after that. He didn’t share the details of the passing with the media, though.

Busta has been in court for his children more than once. Apart from the 1999 case, he went to trial once again in 2005, when he won custody of his three sons over Joanne. She said he did that only because she became a lesbian and his ego was hurt.

BUSTA’S CURRENT CAREER

Nowadays, the rapper is 46 years old. He has never stopped working in the entertainment industry though. Recently, he and Lil Wayne, another important rapper in the industry, joined DJ Kay Slay to create a song titled “They Want My Blood.”

According to DJ Kay Slay, having those two rappers together was “like the clash of the titans.” He added, “two elite lyricists on the mic displaying their talents, neither worried about making a hit record, but instead make a dope record that can be talked about for years. Legendary!”
