Jeannie Mai breaks silence on rumors she's dating rapper Young Jeezy after spotted together in club

Jeannie Mai reveals the real score between her and Young Jeezy describing him as someone “special to me.”

Jeannie Mai has spoken up about the rumors surrounding her and Young Jeezy after they were spotted together during her birthday celebration.

Mai turned 40 recently and among her well-wishers during her weekend fete was the rapper. He appeared to be her date in a photo where they’re joined by two other couples sparking rumors of romance.

In the photo uploaded by actress Malika Haqq, Mai and Jeezy partnered up as they spent time at a bar with Haqq, her boyfriend OT Genasis, Lori Harvey and her rumored squeeze Trey Songz.

SETTLING THE SCORE

On Monday, Mai addressed the rumor by defining her relationship with the rapper to viewers of her talk show, “The Real.” While she says Jeezy is “special” to her, she clarified that they are not an item.

“You guys know that I’m multi-dating and Jeezy and I hang out. He’s very special to me. So we don’t really have a label to define what it is we’re doing. We’re just having a good time together.”

Mai also assured her fans that when she does find “that one special boo” they’d be the first to know.

SETTLING HER DIVORCE

Mai has been single since her divorce from her husband of 10 years, Freddy Harteis. The pair ended things amicably in 2017 recognizing that it was their differences in priorities that ultimately led to their separation.

Last month, Mai and Harteis reached a divorce settlement despite the tension that brewed between them while processing the dissolution of their marriage. Mai confessed in October that their divorce showed her a different side of Harteis, one that was consumed with money. It prompted her to regret ever marrying him.

As a result of their settlement, both parties were not required to pay spousal support and Mai gets to keep their Sherman Oaks home including furniture and artwork. She’ll also be able to keep her pension plan and interests in her entertainment company and the money she earned after they separated.

Meanwhile, Harteis, who is now in a relationship and recently a father was awarded three vehicles including a 2003 Mercedes Benz C-Class, a 2016 Dodge Ram Power Wagon, and a Sprinter Pull Log Trailer. He also gained access to several bank accounts and a one-time payment of an undisclosed amount from Mai.
