DJ Khaled gets slammed after gifting Kylie Jenner's daughter Stormi Webster her first Chanel bag

DJ Khaled gifted Stormi a tiny Chanel bag on her first birthday. While Kylie was thrilled, fans weren't impressed.

DJ Khaled was among the star-studded guest list in Kylie Jenner’s epic 1st birthday party for her daughter, Stormi Webster. And because it’s not quite easy to think of a gift for a girl who can practically have anything she wants, Khaled gifted Stormi with her first Chanel purse.

An ecstatic Kylie raved about the gift as her daughter carried by her father, Travis Scott unaffectedly looked at the tiny red velvet bag.

“Oh my goodness, Stormi, your first Chanel!” Kylie is heard saying in the background of a clip shared by the The Shade Room.

Unlike Kylie, though, fans who saw the clip weren’t as impressed. Many slammed Khaled’s gift as impractical and inappropriate. One user wrote,

“Bruh a baby doesn’t want or need a Chanel bag. Get her a toy, a stuffed animal, something she can have fun with!!!’

Another echoed the sentiment and wrote,

“I’m sure she would have been happier with a cuddly toy….just so pretentious….she’s a baby remember and has no idea who or what Chanel is Money just can’t bring joy to a sweet little girl.”

‘Someone said this is the reason why Toys R us went bankrupt… I’m out," a third person wrote in dismay.

Granted that Khaled went all out for Stormi who's used to the finer things in life, fans should give him a break for wanting to present the little girl with something different. The gift clearly stood out with Stormi’s mom mentioning it was her first Chanel bag. Stormi may not appreciate it now, but a few years down the road, she will.

Khaled was certainly proud of what he accomplished when he posted a photo of him giving the gift to Stormi and wrote,

"My brother @travisscott and his queen @kyliejenner invited me to Stormi BDAY PARTY. AS A FATHER I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT ITS IS TO GIVE OUR KIDS THE BEST LIFE AND THE BEST BDAY PARTYS ! MY SON AND QUEEN wasn’t in town so I came to represent for the KHALED FAMLIY and wish STORMI HAPPY BDAY ! GOD BLESS YOU ! LUV FROM THE KHALEDS !"

It was a busy weekend for Kylie’s who went over the roof to give Stormi the best birthday party ever. The carnival-themed “Astroworld”-inspired event dubbed “Stormi’s World” boasted of a giant inflatable of Stormi’s head greeting guests at the entrance. Stormi’s mouth is open wide revealing where guests should enter.

Inside the lavish party were rainbows, white clouds and balloons, a ball pit, giant teddy bears, carnival rides and kids’ favorite characters like Pingfong and Baby Shark. Food was overflowing with French fries served in Louis Vuitton bags and pretzels hanging from giant umbrellas. A giant cake designed into a golden carousel was at the center of it all.

Stormi’s birthday party was certainly one for the books. Makes us wonder how else her parents can top it next year.
