Meghan’s princess: did photos of Meghan Markle’s babyshower reveal the gender?
Judging by everything that arrived ahead of Meghan’s baby shower for the big do, many speculate the predominant colors gave the unborn royal’s gender away.
The penthouse suite at The Mark Hotel give stunning views of Central Park and served as the location for Meghan Markle’s lavish baby shower. Being the most expensive suite in the US, it goes for a whopping $75,000 per night.
Close friend and a former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer was one of the first guests to arrive with loads of presents for Meghan’s $300,000 baby shower.
Serena Williams reportedly hosted the event while Meghan’s close friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin was also on hand to spruce the Duchess up for the special celebration.
During the Endeavor Awards earlier this month, Meghan spoke with a guest regarding the gender of their soon-to-be-born baby:
“We don't know. Yes, we decided to keep it a secret, and then that way . . . it's one of those things, like, no matter what it is, it's still going to be a surprise.”
According to royal commentator Victoria Arbiter, keeping the baby’s gender unknown until it's born, is a “royal philosophy” and added that many parents in the UK also do the same.
The color scheme seemed to be pink, judged by all the pink floral arrangements, pink outfits, and cotton candy machine that got delivered to the hotel ahead of the shower.
Gayle King looked bright and beautiful in a bright pink dress and purple coat as she arrived with a gift bag colored in fuchsia stripes and polka dots, while Jessica Mulroney wore a dark salmon turtleneck.
Amal Clooney stunned in a red jumpsuit with gold heels, and many guests arrived with presents in white gift bags, like Misha Nonoo and trainer Taryn Toomey.
While the color theme for the party is suggestive of a baby girl, it is also possible that the royal couple Meghan and Prince Harry are patiently waiting to find out just like the rest of us.
While baby showers aren’t exactly a royal thing, it got noted that Kate Middleton did not attend the baby shower. But being a mum of three little ones herself, she may have had plans of her own.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte went on school break last Friday and not set to return until Monday, February 25. It is rumored that Kate and Prince William took the children on a skiing trip to spend some quality time out of the spotlight.
Meghan Markle’s mum, Doria Ragland didn’t attend the baby shower in New York either. On Tuesday morning she got pictured taking her dog for a walk. But there is a good reason Doria was not there either.
