Nene Leakes Defends Her Violent Actions after Closet Altercation with Kandi, Porsha & Cameraman
NeNe Leakes felt the need to defend her violent actions after she got into a physical altercation with Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, and a "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cameraman for going inside her closet.
After fans witnessed Leakes going hysterical after people entered her wardrobe without her permission, she decided to defend herself and the actions she did because of her anger. She appeared on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" to explain why she reacted that way.
When asked if she overreacted, she said: "No, I did not."
“How are you going to overreact in your own home? If I tell you to visit me and sit right here, you need to sit right here. You don’t have the right to go through my house to open my doors, my closets, my pantries, none of that.”
To her, the way the two ladies acted was a complete disrespect, which she was not about to tolerate.
“When you come to my house, you’re not going to disrespect my home. They were not in the right. Because you can’t come in someone’s house — First of all, they weren’t even invited upstairs. They just came upstairs on their own.”
During Sunday's episode of the TV show, the 51-year-old star hosted a "Bye Wig" party for her housewives who had to come to the party without wigs, hair extensions or weaves. During the event, Kandi and Porsha asked if they could peek into her wardrobe, to which she replied with "Hell no, my closet is not together."
In a confessional snippet of their show, Burruss revealed that NeNe would always boast about her closet, so they wanted to see it. Even though she told them not to, the two women ended up going anyway, and a cameraman followed. When Leakes saw this, she completely lost her cool.
When the cameraman walked towards the closet, she ripped his shirt to keep him from going any further. Chaos then erupted after that, with women screaming in the background. Someone had to warn NeNe that Williams, 37, was pregnant, as she might have done something to harm her. It was then that the camera went black.
