Brandy's Teen Daughter Looks Just like Her Mom, Wearing Yellow Jacket & Black Outfit in New Pics
Sy’rai Smith recently left fans stunned with a series of pics out in nature where the main focus was her beauty and fashion style. The gorgeous high schooler inherited not only her mom’s look but also her talent in the music department.
Brandy Norwood is a proud mom, and with all due reason.
Her 16-year-old daughter, Sy’rai Iman Smith, preaches self-love and confidence among her teen peers in times where social media seems to dictate what the beauty standard should be.
In her most recent Instagram pics, Sy’rai posed out in nature, sitting on top of big rocks while effortlessly exuding confidence.
She rocked a yellow denim jacket, black top, and matching leggings, and completed the look with black and yellow sneakers.
“play to keep,” she captioned the picture.
Fans took over the comment section to gush about Sy’rai, with most agreeing that she’s Brandy’s twin, and others pointing out how fast she’s growing up and becoming a beautiful lady.
“When a young Queen knows her self-worth nothing can shake her as her foundation is just as seen. ROCK strong. Solid #beautifully #blossoming #blessedviews,” wrote one user.
Another added, “You’re so grown now!! Beautiful young lady.”
And a third one chimed in to say, “Beautiful just like her mother we watched you be born on television the world saw your feet.”
Last month, Brandy left fans speechless after sharing a video of Sy’rai singing her heart out and showing off her amazing vocals.
Although the clip only features half of Sy’rai’s face, her voice was loud and clear while performing an acoustic version of Shontelle’s “Impossible.” She hit all the right notes and sang with passion, showing an incredible vocal control, just like her mom.
Sy’rai seems to be interested in the industry, but a few years ago Brandy teased her talent on an interview with People, stating that she didn’t want to lead the girl down that path yet.
She said:
“She’s [Sy’rai] into her school work and her education, but singing is all she does, watching videos and making up routines. I see the signs, but I want her to hold on a little longer and have a regular childhood.”
Sy’rai not only is beautiful and talented, but she’s also smart, thoughtful and kind.
Last year, she made an Instagram live to talk with other girls her age where she tackled on an important topic: self-love.
The girl revealed that she struggled with her appearance because of her weight for a while, but later realized she being true to herself was more important than worrying about other people’s opinions.
“Don’t change because other people are saying, ‘You’re a big girl, you’re fat, you’re this, you’re that.’ Don’t change because of what they say, change because you want to change. Don’t ever let anybody else tell you who you are,” she stated.
