Lorraine Warren Who Inspired the “Conjuring” Horror Franchise Dies at 92

Real-life paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren, best known for the “Conjuring” horror movie franchise, passed away at 92 years old.

Her grandson, Chris McKinnell, who has been working as a director, exorcist, teacher, and counselor at The Warren Legacy Foundation for Paranormal Research, announced it on Facebook.

“Last night my grandmother, Lorraine Warren, quietly and peacefully left us to join her beloved Ed. She was happy and laughing until the very end. She was my angel and my hero, and she will be deeply missed,” wrote the man.

He added, “Please join us in celebrating her life and honoring her beautiful soul. Remember to treasure those you love while you can. Thank you and God bless you all.”

Just as Lorraine, her late husband Ed Warren, who died in 2006, were among the most renowned paranormal investigators in the world. One of the most famous cases they studied happened in Amityville, New York.

Some of their cases have inspired different authors and filmmakers to write books and make movies, including the 1977 book “Amityville Horror” and the “Conjuring” films.

Even though both of them passed away already, their legacy continues to live on as they created a museum which has different haunted items they kept from their investigations. One of the most known objects is the real Annabelle doll.
