Prince Harry Pays Tribute to Son Archie in ‘I AM DADDY’ Jacket at an Invictus Games Event
Prince Harry, 32, attended the Invictus games event wearing a jacket with “INVICTUS FAMILY DADDY” written on it, shortly after his son’s birth.
Prince Harry is the latest royal to become a father, and he loves every bit of it! During his trip to the Netherlands on Thursday, the proud dad showed off his new title, wearing a “daddy” jacket to the Invictus Games 2020.
The British royal sported a jacket with embroidery on the upper left part saying “INVICTUS FAMILY DADDY,” a tribute to his newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. He later posed wearing a black sports top which spelled out “I am Daddy” in front.
AN ADVOCATE FOR THE INVICTUS GAMES
Over the last five years, Harry has been an advocate for the Invictus games which took place at the Sportcampus Zuiderpark in the Hague this year.
He participated in the bicycle ride around the park and in the archery session in the sports hall shortly after. Harry then proceeded to watch the wheelchair basketball training to show support for wounded servicemen and women.
“Our mental fitness is the key, because without it we fail to operate efficiently; but with it your physical performance and potential are exponentially improved and we have witnessed this over and over again,” read the Sussex royal’s Instagram account.
THE INVICTUS GAMES
The Invictus Games is an “international sporting event,” for sick or injured armed service crew members and veterans, to take part in sports like rowing, wheelchair basketball, and sitting volleyball.
As he stepped in front of the cameras, Harry beamed with excitement and joy, revealing that it was the “most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagined.”
It’s sports activities empower people to improve their physical and psychological self. Every year, thousands of competitors from around the globe train to represent their nation for the Invictus Games. This year's The Hague event has 19 countries represented.
A PROUD FATHER
Harry has been nothing short of proud since the arrival of his son, which he wasn’t able to hide during his press announcement, hours after Archie was born.
As he stepped in front of the cameras, Harry beamed with excitement and joy, revealing that it was the “most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagined.”
He also gave recognition to his wife, saying he was “incredibly proud” of her, and that that they would share more details about their son in the days to come.
WELCOMING BABY ARCHIE
The news of the newest royal baby came on May 6 through the royal couple’s Instagram account. Written in the caption were details about Archie’s arrival.
“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 30z,” read the post.
In another post, the duke and duchess shared the debut of their son to the world and his first meeting with the Queen. They also revealed the name they chose - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
