Toni Braxton Shares What Her Sons Gave Her for Mother's Day (Video)

Toni Braxton recently revealed the lovely gifts her sons gave her on Mother’s Day in a video that has the internet approving for more than one reason.

The R&B legend has never let go of an opportunity to gush over her sons, Denim and Diezel, and Sunday's global celebration of moms was no exception.

Taking to Instagram, Toni posted a video showing off her Mother’s Day present: a lovely floral arrangement.

“Okay, the boys in my life sent me an incredible floral arrangement – a couple of ‘em,” she began in the clip as 16-year-old Diezel goofed around behind her. “And I just had to brag and show off, and they cooked me breakfast. They did really good. Happy Mother’s Day, Guys.”

The video then panned to the pink and red roses the boys got for their mom, while the signature tune of NBC’s “Law & Order” played in the background.

In the caption, Toni further revealed that Denim and Diezel got the Mother’s Day flowers from her “favorite florist.”

“Mom loves you very much!” she added.

THE YOUNG HAVE GROWN

That last comment couldn’t have been more accurate. Toni’s boys are truly growing up fast, and the 51-year-old mom could not be prouder.

Denim, 17, is a budding basketball player at Oaks Christian School while Diezel is a model and actor that scored a contract with the prestigious Wilhelmina Modeling Agency last year.

DEALING WITH AUTISM

Diezel has mainly come a long way from his days of being diagnosed autistic and going through treatment programs that helped manage the condition.

In 2012, when Toni became an ambassador for “Autism Speaks,” a prominent autism advocacy group in America, she opened up about how it felt to have her son finally diagnosed at age three.

“I felt sorry for myself for a long time, and I blamed myself — I thought it was something I had done,” the mom confessed.

COMING OUT TOPS

Thankfully, with the intervention of friends who were going through the same thing, and “Autism Speaks,” which provided tips and programs to enroll Diezel in, Toni was singing a different tune by 2016.

“My youngest son, as everyone knows, my son Diezel suffers from – or I should say suffered from autism,” the Grammy winner said in an interview. “He [has] no signs of autism.”

Denim and Diezel are Toni’s sons with her singer ex-husband Keri Lewis, who she was married to from 2001 to 2013.
