Ike Turner’s Daughter Claims Tina Turner's Sexual Abuse Claims Were 'Fictionalized'
Mia Turner has opened up about her childhood and claims that her father Ike never abused Tina Turner.

Mia Turner has spoken about her father's relationship with Tina Turner for the first time.
Ike Turner's daughter has come out on in defense of her deceased father, and she claims that the domestic violence and sexual abuse depicted in the 1993 film "What's Love Got to Do with It" is a Hollywood fiction.
'They didn't argue much in front of me. When it came to rehearsals, daddy was the choreographer and composer, so they might quibble over things but I never saw him hit her. I'm not saying those things didn't happen, I just never saw that."

50-year-old Mia is Ike Turner's daughter with his Ikettes backup singer Margaret Ann Thomas, and Tina's stepdaughter.
Mia revealed that she and Tina were exceptionally close and that she considered the iconic singer her "other mother."
"I was like the daughter she never had, we did everything together," Mia said.
Tina and Ike married in 1960 after the birth of their son Ronnie, and the partnership, although successful professionally was a personal disaster.

Mia described her childhood as "happy" and said that she never witnessed any domestic violence between her father and Tina. She declared that although her father had destroyed her family, he was not the violent monster portrayed in the film.

Mia is adamant that the disturbing sexual assault scene depicted in the movie never happened.
"Obviously I wasn't there that night…but after I saw the movie I called Tina's sister and she then called Tina and confirmed to me it never happened, " she said.
IKE TURNER DENIED BEATING TINA
Ike Turner, who died in 2007 of a drug overdose told a different story in his autobiography, "Takin' Back My Name."
"Sure, I've slapped Tina. There have been times when I punched her to the ground without thinking. But I never beat her." he said.
It's understandable that Mia wishes to preserve her memory of her father as a good and loving man, but Tina Turner's own biography reveals the inside story a child would never have been party to - confirmed by Ike's own confession.

Tina and Ike married in 1960 after the birth of their son Ronnie, and the partnership, although successful professionally was a personal disaster.
“At my lowest, I convinced myself that death was my only way out. I actually tried to kill myself. I went to my doctor and told him I was having trouble sleeping. Right after dinner, I took all 50 of [the pills he gave me]. I was unhappy when I woke up. But I came out of the darkness believing I was meant to survive.”
Sixteen years after she married Ike, finally found the strength to leave Ike. She walked out in 1976 with nothing but a Mobil card and 36 cents in her pocket.
Tina went on to rebuild her solo career, and become one of the most successful R&B performers of all time.
