Nicolas Cage’s Wife of 4 Days, Erika Koike, Reportedly Breaks Silence on Their Short-Lived Marriage
Erika Koike finally addressed her four-day marriage with Nicolas Cage after being seen locking lips with another man. “Nic could have come and talked to me, not publicly humiliate me,” she said.
Nicolas Cage, 55 made recent headlines due to his controversial four-day marriage with Erika Koike, 34, who seems to have moved forward from the breakup, having been seen out with another man.
According to the Daily Mail, Koike was spotted passionately kissing with a man, two months after her failed marriage on March 22. A mystery man driving a fancy sports car picked her up at a restaurant at 3 am and spent 30 minutes inside the car, parked outside Koike’s building.
“He’s just a customer who comes here. He’s not my boyfriend yet,” Koike responded when asked for a comment. “I’m free to do whatever I want. Nic did what he did; we’re not going to reconcile or get back together.”
Cage’s estranged wife went on to note that her ex should have come to her privately, instead of publicly humiliating her. She continued:
“I’m hurt and mistreated, it’s unfair, but the case is sealed, and my lawyer won’t let me speak until we are all done.”
The marriage of Cage and Koike was a result of immense intoxication during a night out in Vegas last March. After four days, the Oscar-winning actor filed for an annulment, revealing their marriage was based on fraud after she failed to disclose her full criminal history before the ceremony.
Koike was twice charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in 2008 and 2011 and was accused of violence against her husband in 2006.
Following the 55-year-old actor's decision, Koike demanded spousal support after missing job opportunities and having her reputation ruined because of her romantic involvement with Cage.
Koike was the fourth wife of Cage following Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, Lisa Marie Presley in 2002, and Alice Kim in 2004.
