Singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton posted a throwback photo of himself on social media without his trademark beard, and he looks totally different.

In 2013, before he became famous, Chris took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his friends in their earlier years. Fans had to do a double-take because he doesn't even look like himself.

"I wanna thank my wife for always being my wife and taking care of me and helping me find the right thing to be and the right thing to do."

The photograph shows the "Tennessee Whiskey" singer without his signature beard, and it's a bit odd to see him without it. He simply captioned the post:

"One of these guys is me."

In the event that you didn't recognize him, Chris is the man on the far right.

Chris is married to singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton, who has written material that has been recorded by several singers, including Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes.

The pair initially met when they were working at nearby publishing houses. They share four kids and live in Nashville.

Chris is one of Nashville's most respected and beloved musicians. In November 2018, he accepted the CMA Award for Male Vocalist of the Year.

"I'm real proud of this award, and I try real hard to be a good singer, but I also wanna thank my kids who put up with me being gone quite a bit and not getting to be as good of a dad as I would always like to be," he said.

Chris' voice was sounding noticeably shaken. He added: "I love you so much. You share me with all these people, and I appreciate it."

He then thanked his wife, saying: "I wanna thank my wife for always being my wife and taking care of me and helping me find the right thing to be and the right thing to do."

Since 2015, Chris has won a total of 10 CMA awards. He is currently the male country singer with the third most consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year CMA awards.

In April 2019, Chris showed up as an extra in the HBO series Game of Thrones episode "The Long Night" as a wight.
