Céline Dion’s New Song Causes a Stir among Fans

Céline Dion debuted her new song, “Flying On My Own” onstage. The performance is her last as she ends her residency in Vegas.

The veteran singer elicited a frenzied response from the audience as she gave a fun rendition of the newly released song. Dressed in a sparkly floor-length dress, Céline sure had all the attention on her.

Strutting about the stage while dancing and singing, the award-winning star brought the performance to a fevered pitch keeping the audience in awe all through.

“Flying On My Own” is just the perfect way for the sterling singer to end her 16-year Vegas residency. It lets Céline show off her incredible vocal range proving that age is nothing but just numbers when it comes to her musical skills.

The performance was held at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace this past weekend, on June 8. Céline not only showed off her talented singing but also her skillful writing skills. The song is a must-listen with the soulful lyrics which have an empowering theme to them. It will most certainly rock the charts like most of Céline’s works.

The new track seems to mark the start of a new era for the mother of three. The 51-year-old has teased the release of her upcoming album, “Courage” which will be her 27th studio album. With “Courage” set to be released later this year in November, the “Flying On My Own” track has her fans waiting expectantly for the whole album.

Staying in Las Vegas for well over a decade has been an apparent influence on Céline’s music, especially with the bouncy tune to her “Flying On My Own” song. Céline is past her prime at 51, but it was difficult to see that with the way she excitedly performed on Saturday.

At some point, she even encouraged the crowd to dance along with her. Céline’s lively demeanor made the performance an even more powerful one, especially after she energetically declared that she felt like she was "in the club!"

It was also while performing to mark her leaving Vegas that the ageless beauty honored her late husband, Rene Angelil. Céline was joined onstage by her three beautiful children, and they looked back to watch a large screen display photos of the family with Angelil.

It was a heartwarming moment as the family, the boys dressed in all-black outfits and Céline in a glittering silver dress, looked on happily as they reminisced.

Angelil passed away some three years ago following his battle with throat cancer. In an interview, Céline reveals that even long after his demise, she still thinks about him every day and that she knows “he's in peace and he’s resting, and he’s always within her.”
