Meghan Markle Shown Getting Married in Emotional New Teaser for the Final Season of 'Suits'
The new teaser for the final season of “Suits” recently got released and wet fans’ appetites for an “unforgettable” season of power couples and familiar faces.
The trailer released by USA Network on June 19, featured a trip down memory lane with familiar scenes from the previous eight seasons, as well as snippets of what to expect during the show’s final season.
Fans of the show saw a brief look at Mike (Patrick Adams) and Rachel’s ( Meghan Markle) relationship over the years with the most memorable “I love you’s,” arguments, and their much-anticipated wedding.
After the their “Suits” wedding, both Patrick and Meghan left the show, and Meghan, of course, went on to have a real life dream wedding to Prince Harry, with whom she welcomed their first-born, Archie into the world earlier in 2019.
The teaser also followed the complicated history between Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty).
At the end of season 8, Harvey realized that he loved Donna and the pair finally got together. “You’re going to make me cry,” Donna told Harvey at the end of the teaser, to which he replied, “I’m just getting started.”
ET confirmed that Mike (Patrick Adams) would return for various episodes of the ninth and final season of “Suits,” while Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) figure out the boundaries of their new relationship.
For what promises to be an epic match of wits, Mike returns for a case that pits him against his former mentor and best friend, Harvey, and the firm’s latest addition, Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl).
There will reportedly be “a little update on Rachel” for fans of the Duchess, but it's unlikely that she would make an appearance again even though the show’s creator, Aaron Korsh remains hopeful.
“There is always a chance she is going to pick up the phone and call me and say, ‘Can I come back?’ – and if she did, she would be welcome back here with arms wide open. But no, l don’t see that happening,” he told Deadline.
“Suits” will return for its final season on July 17, 2019, on USA Network. The Duchess appeared in 108 episodes of the show and saw her exit from showbiz as a “new chapter” in her life.
“I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I have done there, and now it’s time to…work as a team…with [Harry],” she told Mishal Husain from BBC in the couple’s post-engagement interview.
With Meghan and Prince Harry’s firstborn, Archie now a month old, his christening is just around the corner.
Recent reports shed some light on the details regarding baby Archie’s upcoming christening and include everything from location to guest lists, to what Archie will be wearing on his big day.
