Prince Harry Is Gifted a $49 Lapis Lazuli Bracelet for Meghan Markle at Princess Diana Award Summit

Prince Harry was given a bracelet to pass along to his beautiful wife but netizens have, however, aired opinions that Markle would most probably never wear it.

Yesterday, July 2, the Duke of Sussex was in attendance at the Diana Award National Youth Mentoring Summit. He received a charming bracelet which he was asked to give his wife.

Richard Palmer, the "Daily Express" royals correspondent, took to Twitter to share a picture of the little gift. It was quite an eyeful despite its small size as it was adorned by dark blue beads and a noticeable globe.

The bracelet is an indeed special one and is a product of “TAPS.” Via their official website, the designers explained the importance of the beaded accessory.

Named the Lapis Golden Globe Stretch Bracelet, the accessory is described as “a stunning symbol of the power of women to affect the lives of other women, both locally and globally.”

That explains why the Mentoring Summit may have deemed it the perfect fit for Markle who retired from her bustling acting career to become a member of the royal family; therefore took on the responsibilities accompanied with being a member of the prestigious family.

The unique story behind the bracelet continues to outline that the bracelet, which costs just $49, was handmade by Afghanistan widows and that they used their native “stone of heaven” to make it. Even if it isn't high-end jewelry like the royals are known for, the unique story and meaning of the bracelet is one that makes it worthy of being gifted to a prominent figure like Markle.

While a significant number mentioned that they looked forward to seeing the new mother-of-one wear it, an even more noticeable number jumped to conclusions and commented that she probably wouldn't wear it since it is not expensive.
