Gabrielle Union & Baby Kaavia Enjoy the Sun While Taking Dip in a Pool

Gabrielle Union is back with another episode of Shady Baby cuteness featuring the one and only Kaavia James. This time, the mother-daughter duo is giving us serious vacation vibes with their pool photos.

Union and her baby girl found the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday, dipping in the pool for some fun in the sun.

The actress took to Instagram with aww-worthy photos of her and Kaavia having the best time. A laughing Union held her face to the sun while appearing to savor the warmth and holding on to Kaavia at the same time.

The seven-month-old, on the other hand, pulled out all the stops in a pink bathing suit and matching hat. Kaavia gave the camera a serious expression per usual; the reason she earned the moniker “Shady Baby.”

“She needs a stand up special,” Union wrote in the caption, obviously amused by her daughter’s face. “[Kaavia James] keeps that same energy.”

If fans found that funny, it was nothing compared to the captions accompanying similar pictures on Kaavia’s Instagram page.

The adorable tot has over 700 million followers which she owes to her ability to make shady faces and the hilarious accompanying captions that are most likely Union’s doing.

This time, the actress shared four photos from their fun-in-the-sun day to Kaavia’s account; each one showed her making serious faces to varying degrees while the caption offered a rundown of a hypothetical situation. Check it out below.

The comment section was lit with remarks from Kaavia fans that couldn’t help gushing over her personality.

“LMAO THIS LITTLE GIRL IS A MOOD,” wrote one Instagram user.

“This Shady Baby is no longer throwing shade,” chimed in another. “She's now into throwing the whole damn tree.”

Only a few days earlier, Gabrielle, 46, and Kaavia blessed our timelines with photos of the pair twinning in head-wraps, earning an endearing comment from Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

“You better stop with all this cuteness,” Spencer joked.

Since making her world debut last November via a surrogate, Kaavia has become quite the celebrity herself, hanging out with famous aunts and getting shout-outs from fellow celebrity babies like TV host Tamron Hall’s baby Moses.

Kaavia, who made her magazine cover debut in March, turns eight months old on July 7.
