Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Share Warm Congratulations to Camilla on Her 72nd Birthday
Wednesday marks a special day for one well-known British Royal. None other than Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate have wished the fellow Royal a “happy” one.
July 17 is the day that Duchess Camilla turns 72! To wish her well, Prince William and Duchess Kate used the social media account Kensington Palace to celebrate her special day.
William and his wife shared a lovely image of Camilla all dressed up and captioned it. The post was written: “Wishing The Duchess of Cornwall a very Happy Birthday today!”

Included in the post were two emojis, one of a colorful cupcake and another one of a red balloon. The photograph used in the post was taken last month in Normandy.
At the time, Prince Charles’ wife was attending the Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance. She looked amazing as she smiled in a cream coat dress by Christian Dior and a large matching hat by Philip Treacy.
The Royal completed her look with a layered pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Clarence House took to Twitter to on behalf of the Duchess; thanking the masses for “all the lovely messages” directed at her.
The “thank you” post also featured a throwback picture of the Duchess of Cornwall. The image was taken last March in Saint Kitts and Nevis as Camilla toured the Caribbean.

At the time, the Royal was visiting the Hermitage Plantation House and was photographed walking out of one of the rooms. She looked happy in a light blue kaftan and a white pair of pants.
Currently, Charles and Camilla are visiting Cornwall and Devon. Their trip has been filled with many activities including meeting with a number of people.
The couple has taken the time to visit the Eden Project and Megavissey. To celebrate her special day here are a few fun facts about the British Royal.
The Duchess was born Camilla Rosemary Shand on July 17, 1947, at King's College Hospital in London. Major Bruce Shand and his wife, the Honourable Rosalind Shand had her as their first child.
She and Charles were married in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, Berkshire on April 9, 2005. A service of blessing was held for the couple at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle after their wedding.
Camilla is a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing Britain and once had a chance to visit the show's set. She and Kate, her daughter-in-law, are said to be quite close.
