Amy Schumer Shares Sweet Photo of Baby Gene Celebrating Her Emmy Nomination
The comedian and actress got nominated for her 12th Emmy-award for her Netflix special; “Growing” and she celebrates with an Instagram photo of her husband and her two months old baby, Gene.
The Netflix special, "Amy Schumer Growing" scored a nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.
The program features Schumer performing stand-up comedy while she was pregnant with her son. In the routine, she jokes about being married and expecting a baby.
The actress took to Instagram to celebrate the joyous news with a photo of her and her first child, seemingly fist-pumping her.
She captioned the amusing picture of her and baby Gene saying:
"We are very proud of being EMMY nominated for our @netflixisajoke special #GROWING as we were both on stage during filming!"
The reference to being on stage with baby Gene was that cute little thing was still in her womb while she filmed the special.
Sharing her pride and excitement and expressing her gratitude to everyone along with her husband, the comedian joked:
“Thank you, everyone, who voted and to my husband who wants me never to stop talking."
Her husband, Chris Fischer, was also seen in another picture in the Instagram slide, covering the actress’s mouth.The couple who married last year, had their first child, Gene in May, two months ago.
Amy Schumer encountered complications while carrying her baby; she had to cancel her remaining tour dates due to a severe form of morning sickness that prevented her from travelling called Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
The Comedienne who was voted class clown and teachers worst nightmare at her Long Island’s South Side High School studied theatre at Towson University and took acting classes at William Esper Studio when she moved to New York.
She learned the Meisner technique (an alternate acting approach which focuses on instinct unlike method acting) at the famed studio.
The talented actress even starred in Keeping Abreast, an off-Broadway a dark comedy play, about a young woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Despite Schumer risque public image, the new mom is fairly mindful of her health and what she puts in her body.
According to Vogue, Amy Schumer currently practices Transcendental Meditation, schedules weekly acupuncture sessions, takes juices every morning, and avoids caffeine.
The talented actress and comedienne who is so famous for her openness about both her professional and personal life once again proves why she is well-deserving of the Emmy nod for her Netflix special.
