Amy Carlson's Fans Claim They Miss Her on ‘Blue Bloods’ after She Shared a Photo with Her Husband Sid Butler

After the former “Blue Bloods” star Amy Carlson posted a photo of herself with her husband Sid Butler on Instagram, emotional fans took to the comment section to express how much they miss seeing her in the drama series.

Carlson played the character of Linda Reagan in “Blue Bloods” and the long-time fans were devastated when Reagan was unceremoniously killed off from the series.

FANS MISS CARLSON’S LINDA REAGAN ON BLUE BLOODS

When the actress posted a picture of herself and husband Butler on Instagram, fans made sure they let her know that she is dearly missed.

“Much love to you and your family. Have a wonderful summer and I hope to see you soon in another tv show,” one of her fans wrote.

Another fan commented: “We have the greatest island. Miss you on blue bloods.”

A third fan wrote: “Still miss you on Blue Bloods!”

FANS WERE DISAPPOINTED FOLLOWING CARLSON’S DEPARTURE

The cast of “Blue Bloods” was taken aback by the sudden departure of Carlson’s Linda Reagan from the series in 2017.

In an open letter posted on Instagram, the actress expressed her gratefulness for having been a part of the show.

“My heart is full of gratitude to each of you for your generous support of me and my character for the last seven years of Blue Bloods - Linda Reagan,” the post read. “I have been touched by your compassion and enthusiasm. I loved playing Linda: wife to Danny, mother to Jack and Sean, nurse and working mom.”

She went on to mention how grateful she was to CBS and her fans along with series’ cast and crew.

WHY DID SHE LEAVE ANYWAY?

Although Carlson did not reveal anything besides the fact that her contract was up, many believe that it wasn’t the only reason why she left. Even the death of her character was not shown in the series.

Carlson further shares that it was the perfect time for her to move on to new ventures.
