Bindi Irwin Reportedly Says Brother Robert Will Walk Her down the Aisle In Place of Her Late Dad Steve

Bindi Irwin plans to honor her late father, Steve Irwin during her wedding to Chandler Powell, set next year, by having her brother, Robert, walk her down the aisle.

It is only a matter of months until Bindi Irwin walks down the aisle to say ‘I do’ to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell. Part of the 21-year-old’s plans for her special day is to pay tribute and honor the memory of her late father, Steve Irwin.

Her dream as “a little girl” is about to be fulfilled as her brother, Robert Irwin, will step in and take their father’s role to walk Bindi down the aisle. Among all her other wedding plans, this one is for sure.

“I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle,” Bindi said. “That’s something that I really want to do.”

The young conservationist credited her younger brother for always being there for her and stepping in to fill the role of her late father. Robert is always a shoulder to cry on and a person to count on for his sister.

“He will definitely be the one to walk me down the aisle when the time comes, and I think that will make it really special,” she added. “I think that’s what dad would have wanted as well.”

The soon-to-be bride revealed her other wedding details, including her idea of honoring her mother by having a special dance with her. The performance with her mom will take the place of the supposed father-daughter dance.

Powell popped the big question during Bindi’s 21st birthday, after being in a relationship for six years. The big announcement was said on Instagram where Bindi shared one of the best moments of her life, and probably her best birthday.

Her “Dancing With The Stars” family quickly congratulated and sent her well-wishes through the comment section, including the host, Tom Bergeron, and Alexa PenaVega, who competed alongside Bindi.
