Josiah Duggar’s Wife Posts New Baby Bump Pics, Says This Pregnancy Hasn't Been Easy
After overcoming a painful setback, Josiah Duggar and his wife are expecting a new baby. In a new social media post, she revealed the pregnancy hasn’t been easy.
Josiah Duggar’s wife, Lauren Swanson, shared photos on their joint Instagram account that has her baby bump on display, and an update about her pregnancy. In it, she wore a long blue gown with thin straps and a white polo.
In the first pic, she bent her head with both her hands placed underneath her belly. In the second, a close-up shot, the soon-to-be mother smiled radiantly, but her caption suggested that things have not been easy.
Lauren wrote that she is learning to appreciate life more than ever, especially with all she’s been through in the past year.
She revealed in the next line that the pregnancy has not been easy, but added:
“I treasure every moment, and I’m reminded daily that life is truly a miracle from God.”
The “Counting On” star and Josiah are deeply appreciative of this pregnancy after suffering a miscarriage with the first back in October 2018. At the time, they kept it quiet but chose to speak out in February, with an Instagram post.
The couple wrote at the time that they were devastated and shattered by the loss, and all the expectations they had about the baby whom they had named, Asa, went with his death.
A few months down the line, Lauren and Josiah announced in May that they were expecting a new child, and by June they hosted a gender reveal party.
Speaking at the time with "Us Weekly," the soon-to-be parents said after the expecting mother had blood work test to determine the gender, they gave the result to her sister, Lily.
At the party, Lilly made the big reveal in a balloon filled with pink confetti. In a statement at the time, the TV stars said their child already has a family who would love her, and described their unborn daughter, as their “Miracle.”
The two added that they are grateful to God for blessing them with, “Such a sweet baby girl gift,” and are looking forward to holding their baby.
Lauren and Josiah got married in May 2018, after a brief courtship and engagement. The young couple has always wanted to be parents, and come this fall, they will get their wish; after all, every good and perfect gift comes from above.
