Nipsey Hussle's Family Still Mourning & Want to Celebrate His Birthday in Private: Report

There have been loads of invites for Nipsey Hussle's family to do public celebrations for the late rapper, but his family would rather honor him in private.

While there have been requests for public celebrations and city-wide celebrations in LA for Nipsey Hussle's birthday, the family would rather not have one. Instead, they want to celebrate his birthday in private because they are all still mourning.

Instead of having a party, Nipsey's family plans to gather for a private celebration on August 15, on what was supposed to be his 34th birthday.

A Private and Solemn Celebration

While many family members were flooded with ideas by fans and companies alike to celebrate Nipsey's life, they feel it is too soon to do a big celebration for him considering he was slain a couple of months ago.

Commemorating Nipsey's Life

For those hoping to head to his store, The Marathon Clothing, they won't be able to celebrate there either, because they've begun putting fences to begin building the Nipsey Hussle Tower which will commemorate and honor the life and legacy that Nipsey left behind.

The Tragic Incident

Nipsey was gunned down right in front of The Marathon Clothing store in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Crenshaw on March 31, 2019, at around 3:20 PM. While Nipsey was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival. He was only 33-years-old.

Fans, family, and friends from around the world mourned his death, and his family even let fans bid him goodbye during his funeral at the Staples Center. Fans were given the opportunity to get free tickets online, which gained them admission to the funeral services at the stadium before he was laid to rest.

Now that his birthday is coming up, many fans are planning their own little ways to celebrate Nipsey's birthday, while his family and close friends celebrate in private.
