Kimora Lee Simmons Posts Expletive-Filled Instagram Poll Amid Son's Custody Battle
Kimora Lee Simmons is not happy following her ex-boyfriend’s request for joint custody of their son. So, to vent out her frustrations, the model and fashion designer shared an expletive-filled poll on her Instagram account last weekend.
The Baby Phat designer doesn’t seem to be taking Djimon Hounsou’s request for joint custody of their 10-year-old son Kenzo with the best attitude.
According to TMZ, Kimora was served with the court papers last Friday while she took a stroll around L.A, and over the weekend, she took to her Instagram stories to share a poll asking her fans if they agreed with the statement “Ni–as is [expletive] now huh?!”
Although she didn’t use names on her poll, followers were quick to realize she was shading her actor ex, whom allegedly has threatened to take Kenzo to Africa and never return. He’s also asking for child support.
FANS’ REACTIONS
The poll, captured by Hollywood Unlocked, earned different reactions from people on the social app. While some slammed Lee and praised Hounsou for wanting to be more involved in his child’s life, others ignored the situation and were more focused on Kimora’s use of the n-word.
“hmmm Did someone give her a pass to say that word and I missed it?....smh. That's the real question....could care less who she's talking about,” wrote one user.
While another pointed out,
“Then let the man have a relationship with his son. Not ok with your use of the word but hey, everybody wants to be down.”
And a third one said,
“Nah you just sound like a bitter baby mama! Can’t keep having kids and moving on to the next hoping the last man just gonna forget about his child! Give that man his child you got a handful already.”
TROUBLE IN PARADISE
Kimora and Djimon dated from 2007 to 2012. They welcomed Kenzo in 2009 and up until now, the exes had maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship, often celebrating birthdays and other special occasions together.
However, last Father’s Day Djimon publicly slammed Lee Simmons for allegedly keeping his son away from him.
“It would be nice if I could see my son for Father’s Day,” he told a paparazzi at the time. “It would also be nice to see him to at least talk to him, right?” And when asked when he last saw his son, Hounsou replied, “I can’t even recall myself.”
Sources close to Kimora fired back Djimon’s claims, stating that he’s an absent father and that he’s the one responsible for not seeing Kenzo regularly.
Russell Simon, Kimora’s ex-husband and the father of her two eldest daughters, told TMZ that Hounsou is asking for child support from Kimora, even though he has never paid for child support himself.
