Danielle Fishel Reveals Why She Hides Her Baby Son's Face on Social Media

Back in early July, fans of the celebrity couple: Danielle Fishel and Jensen Karp got the exciting news that the pair had welcomed their first child together.

The new parents revealed through an Instagram post that Fishel gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on June 24, and of course, fans were left ecstatic.

However, several admirers have remained unimpressed following the couple’s decision not to reveal the face of their newborn, and they have come out to clear the air. Through an Instagram post, new mom Danielle explained the reason behind their decision.

“Woof. Lotta people with questions about why I chose not to share my baby’s face on my last post”,

This is how the 38-year-old began the caption which followed a photo of a babyface emoji.

Danielle continued, stating that she and husband, Jensen, had purposely chosen to keep their kid’s face of the internet in-order to respect a choice he isn’t old enough to make.

“We (Danielle and Jensen) are two people who made a conscious choice to be in the public eye and share what would normally be private moments with the public. Adler (new baby) isn’t capable of making that choice for himself, and until he is, we’ve decided to shield him –”

The mother also expressed regret over the decision, stating that it “sucks” not to be able to share her baby’s pictures. She went ahead to give candid reasons.

“1. His safety. There are weirdos out there – “,

and:

“2. Putting pictures and facts about him onto the internet that he doesn’t have any say in. I’d like for him to be able to create his own footprint on the internet in the future”.

After which, she gave instances of things she’d like her son to experience without the pressure of what’s on the web.

Danielle also mentioned some other celebrities who are dealing with parenthood like her. She lauded model Chrissy Teigen who shows of her kids on social media, as well as Kristen Bell and Dax Shepherd who chose the other way.

Danielle concluded the post stating that she and her husband may eventually end up revealing his face and noted the hassles of being a parent:

“Being a parent is hard, and making decisions for your kid is tough. Fyi, dogs are easier”

Earlier in July, the actress released an equally lengthy Instagram post detailing her experience as she welcomed her first child with Jensen.

She revealed that she had her baby boy, Adler, four weeks before her due date. Thus leaving her hospitalized and put on magnesium sulfate while she was in labor.

Danielle described the early part of the experience as a “nightmare we’ll never forget” and revealed that it brought her and Jensen closer than ever before. Fortunately, all turned out well, and baby Adler is now in the Karp family.
