Former NFL Player Devon Still Welcomes His First Child with Wife Asha
Devon Still, a former NFL star, has recently welcomed his very first child with wife Asha and fans were given quite a front-row seat to the moment the little girl was born.
The news was shared by Still through his official Instagram page, where he posted a picture of his little bundle of joy being cradled by her mother.
But even before posting the sweet family photo, the athlete took to his Youtube account, Still Squad, to show the world how Arya Marie, the baby, came into the world.
BLESSED BY THE NEW MEMBER OF THE FAMILY
Still filmed every moment they spent at the hospital, from their arrival until the birth, which was fully captured on camera. The clip also featured his other child, nine-year-old Leah, from a past relationship.
According to the 30-year-old, Arya was born at 2:12 a.m. on Saturday and he considered themselves blessed. News that Asha was pregnant first hit the media back in March.
WELCOMING FANS INTO HIS LIFE
From that moment on, Still kept his fans and followers up to date regarding the pregnancy, often sharing pictures of his wife and the growing baby bump.
In a post from June, the proud father shared a photo of himself kissing his wife's belly, using the caption to say that "there's nothing more beautiful than watching your woman create life inside her."
He also wrote:
"Thank you, Asha, for all the sacrifices you’re willing to make and the pain you’re willing to endure just to protect and grow our child. Counting down the days until we welcome our son or daughter!"
STILL WAS AFRAID OF HAVING ANOTHER BABY
The former NFL player might be on cloud nine but that wasn't the case before. After Leah was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, the athlete was afraid of bringing another child into the world.
He said:
"What if it was my fault Leah had cancer? Is there something wrong with me? What if the baby has health issues as well? The pain of my past kept me mentally imprisoned for years."
Fortunately, Still overcame his fears and decided to "just go for it" and now his beautiful family has grown. According to him, watching Asha carry their creation was a blessing that he missed out on for thee years.
