Tamar Braxton is opening up about suffering anxiety after a random stranger offered her drugs on a plane. Only a few months ago, the singer lost her niece to a drug overdose.

Tamar, 42, has always been vocal about her experiences and the latest unpleasant one is no different.

The “Braxton Family Values” star took to her Instagram Story this past weekend to vent about her encounter with an alleged drug dealer.

“Offering drugs to people on a plane should be a CRIME PERIODT!!!” she lashed out.

LETTING IT OUT

Tamar continued:

“I don’t do drugs!! And what if I had a problem??!! Well, I do!! My problem is, I have a problem with drug dealers and people who offer any drugs to u!!! Tht [sic] is not a joke. If [you] offer drugs to strangers u are a DRUG DEALER.”

“I HATE drug dealers and Drugs!!!” she added in another post. “They ruin everything!!!!! ALWAYS.”

Tamar further revealed that she wouldn’t be able to meet up with pals Wendy Williams and NeNe Leakes anymore because “this is a major trigger for me, and I’m sure for my family.”

The airline allegedly saw nothing wrong in the alleged drug dealer’s actions and chose not to send him off the flight.

A CASE OF ANXIETY

According to Tamar:

“A stranger offering [drugs] to me on a plane to cope and the airline eating as if it’s ok has sent me in a depressive state. Be back as soon as I can. I’m not ok. Meanwhile, his high [expletive] is sleeping and I’m having the worse anxiety EVER!!”

SOCIAL MEDIA REACTION

The Shade Room published screenshots of Tamar’s pained rant, but most social media users seemed to think the “Braxton Family Values” was overly dramatic.

“It should be a crime to be so damn dramatic!” one commenter wrote.

“Just tell your friends you don’t want to come,” chimed in another, implying that Tamar was only using the story as an excuse not to meet up with Wendy and NeNe. “Everyone is an adult.”

DRUG-RELATED TRAGEDY

While Tamar’s reaction may look to some as a bit over the top, the singer did lose her 24-year-old niece Lauren Braxton to a drug overdose earlier this year.

Lauren, the daughter of Tamar’s brother Michael, passed away on April 29, and two months later, it was revealed she died of a heroin overdose and fentanyl intoxication.

FAMILY MOURNING

The young woman’s demise threw the entire Braxton family into mourning as Tamar and her sisters, Toni, Trina, Traci, and Towanda, shared heartbreaking tributes. It hurt even more because Lauren died just days shy of her 25th birthday.

Her encounter with the alleged drug dealer might have triggered unpleasant memories about Lauren’s death for Tamar, and it’s not unimaginable that she reacted exactly how she felt.
