Things seem to be getting pretty heated between rumored lovers Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter as seen in loved-up photos shared by Kaitlynn on her 31st birthday!

Kaitlynn Carter and Miley Cyrus are taking their love to the next level! On Wednesday, Kaitlynn turned the big 31 and marked the milestone with no one other than her kiss buddy, Miley Cyrus.

As reported by PEOPLE, “The Hills: New Beginnings” star took to her Instagram story to share photos of the duo dressed to the nines for the big day. In the series of black and white photos, the lovebirds cozied up to each other and Miley had her hands placed on Kaitlynn’s waist as they posed for the camera.

The birthday girl looked dashing in a long-sleeved black mini dress paired with black heels while Miley rocked a long-sleeved white button-Down shirt over black pants.

A video from the birthday celebration showed a group of friends singing happy birthday to Caitlyn Jenner’s daughter-in-law, and the “Wrecking Ball” singer took center stage, sitting beside Kaitlynn.

This comes after the pair were spotted hanging out during the Labor Day Weekend. As revealed by PEOPLE, Cyrus and Carter enjoyed a lunch date with Miley’s mom in Los Angeles.

Cyrus was seen wrapping her arms around Carter as they walked the streets wearing matching white shirts. The pair, who made headlines after their controversial kiss days after Miley’s split from Liam, are reportedly having a swell time living together!

A source close to the “Slide Away” said:

“They live together and are very happy. Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.”

Ever since their return from their Italian getaway, the recently-single-girls have been nothing but inseparable. They were spotted at the just-concluded MTV Video Music Awards where Miley performed, and an eyewitness disclosed to Entertainment Weekly, that they didn’t fail to engage in some steamy PDA backstage.

They held hands, shared hugs, and at one point, Kaitlynn put her hands on Miley’s butt, according to the witness who described them as “looking very much like a couple.”

Eleven days after it was confirmed that Liam and Miley split after eight months of marriage, the Aussie actor filed for a divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

According to a source who spoke to US Weekly, the “Hunger Games” actor filed for a divorce so quickly because “she was being so open about her relationship with Kaitlynn.”

The insider said:

“He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that. Liam comes from a very conservative family, and his family was freaked out by it.”

It seems it is goodbye to the idea of Liam and Miley ever coming back together!
